  • "Your team has again surpassed all expectation but if I accounted for every professional kindness that happened, no one else would be able to postriding 2-up, I called from the road shortly before your closing time. Unfortunately, we did not make it (to the shop or before closing) before breaking down. Chuck & Niles trailered us back to the shop where we met Larry. There was discussion, preliminary diagnosis and an action plan. My wife & I got a how to tutorial to Uber and crashed at a hotel (margaritas helped).

    The news we got the following day was bad but would have felt 10x worse if it had been delivered by a team who did not genuinely care. Everything was explained, got a peek at the extensive damage, rented a car and drove 400 miles home. I am confident that my ride is in good hands and I look forward to seeing you guys in a few weeks.

    We're not regular customers to you and live no where close but were cared for and treated like we were the center of the universe. Thank you."

  • "I was in the Smith Mountain area with a group of friends I ride with when I noticed low voltage on my gauge and the check engine light was on. A few minutes later the bike suddenly died. A little roadside trouble shooting revealed the main fuse was blown. I replaced the fuse and the bike started right up, only to blow the fuse again within seconds. Made the call to RVHD (about 15 miles away, maybe a little further) to get some help. They immediately dispatched a truck and trailer to my location. When we got back to the shop, my bike was on the rack within 20 minutes (and it was lunchtime) and Mac got to work on it. I gave him a brief explanation of the symptoms and everything I thought might help him in troubleshooting.

    By the time I had some lunch and returned to the shop, I was told the bike was fixed but he needed about 45 minutes to wrap up the job and get a test ride in. Ended up being a bad (aftermarket) voltage regulator/rectifier.

    Long story short, in and out in a couple of hours, with out an appointment!

    I happily paid my bill and got to continue riding only to discover later than night, when I finally looked at the bill, that they didn't even charge me for the tow!

    I took a little friendly ribbing from my brothers for the rest of the weekend, but my experience with everyone at RVHD was nothing short of 5-star!!!"

  • "We went in today to buy the 2018 Anniversary Edition Trike, with substantial add ons. We worked with Travis for several hours to get the right parts that we wanted to add to our new trike. Travis was just absolutely awesome. He was so patient with me, he answered all my questions about technical, decorative, and legality of lighting I wanted added to our new trike. His overall knowledge is outstanding. His dedication to getting us the right parts for the new trike model was impressive. Travis dedicated hours - in fact, most of his afternoon - to ensuring that we get the right parts installed on our new trike when it comes in. After working with Travis, we got to work with Jay in F&I. Jay spent several hours working with us to help us put together an awesome deal for this new trike that has not even been manufactured yet. I cannot tell you how wonderful our experience has been with this dealership. The folks here at Roanoke Valley Harley Davidson are just wonderful to work with. We got an outstanding deal on a trike that is going to be extremely limited in production, and has not yet been manufactured and shipped to the dealerships. RVHD is consistently wonderful to work with no matter what is needed. From sales, to parts, to service, to motorclothes we have always had a wonderful experience. All of the folks we have interacted with at this dealership have always treated us like family, giving us the best possible advice when we needed it, the best service on our bike when we needed that, the absolute best assistance when we needed parts and accessories, great sales assistance in purchasing a new bike, outstanding service from Jay when working up a purchase deal, and the ladies from motorclothes have never failed to provide friendly, accurate, and outstanding services when we have been shopping for motorclothes. RVHD always makes any interaction a pleasant, fun and honest experience. We trust their advice and services implicitly whenever we call or visit for help or information. We cannot say enough great things about our experiences with RVHD."

  • "I was riding 2-up with my wife, about 1500 miles into a 2000 mile loop on a vacation I desperately needed. The engine light came on so I called the nearest HD dealer. Larry answered the phone and said to bring it in. I was still an hour out and surprised to heard service dept was open until 7. We arrived about 5 and piloted it into the opened bay door. They triaged the issue. Doug was lead by that time. The problem was either A or B but needed the diagnostics for a determination and it was wheeled off. The assessment came back and unfortunately it was B and need a component that was 2 days out...the end of the story is that within 120 minutes we were fixed & on the road. It was tricky but I trust you recall how the replacement part we needed was acquired & installed.

    I know that during the wait, Doug was dealing with HD technical, locating the nearest replacement part and preparing us for the bad news. He explained the problem, laid out the options and offered action plans. My wife proposed an out of the box solution which needed & received your approval (thank you).

    Doug treated & solved our problem like it was the most important issue on planet earth not just the fix but the whole impact of loosing my last 2 days. Please thank him again for us and the team behind the counter as well; we know you were preparing for an event and it would have been the way-easier to push us off.

  • "Just had the service guys do some work for me on my 2011 Blackline, and couldn't be more pleased. Doug personally picked the bike up from my house in an enclosed trailer and used padded tie downs which was greatly appreciated, and less than 24 hours later I got a call that it was ready for pick up.

    As usual, the level of service was outstanding, and the way they treat each bike as if it were their own is a rare find these days. Anyone who has ever tried removing a rear tire from a Softail can probably appreciate the level of skill it takes to remove and reinstall everything without putting a single scratch on the bike.

    A big thanks to Roanoke Valley HD for getting me back on the road!"

  • "I have been in the dealership numerous times since I purchased my 2006 Heritage from a private seller back in October 2012. Everyone that I have dealt with at the dealership has been very helpful in fullfilling my needs and finding just the right parts that I am wanting. The bike has not given me any problems at all, but after I purchased it, I had the service department install some parts that I could not haul home on the bike and also had it dynotuned. What a big difference dynotuning makes. The guys in the Parts dept are super too. I can ask them for a specific accessory that I want for my bike, and they can go right to where it is located. If gthe pasrts are not in stock, they gladly order them. The people in Motorclothes have been great too."

  • "I was on the road when I lost fire to a cylinder. Ronoke took me right in,found the problem(broken wire to fuel saver)and back on the road in about 2 hours with a price that was quite fair.   • "The dealership has been outstanding in most areas. When I am looking for parts and accessories , I generally find what I need quickly. Shelby in motor clothes has helped my wife find what she needs and has become the only person she wants to work with when it comes to buying her riding gear. Service is , in my opinion, the weakest area of the dealership and the only area that I have had problems with. Overall , good job guys"

  • "My experience with roanoke valley harley davidson has been excellant. the parts dept is knowledgeable and friendly. I had some work done on my harley fatboy, and the mechanic dan, did an excellant job. the service manager was helpful, and friendly. the work was done for the extimated cost, and finished on time, and i might add, done correctly. i would recommend this dealership."
